Giraffing Around (2013)

The Hope Bear and Giraffing Around murals represent bravery, strength and protection. The bear is both hopeful and huggable, the giraffe is looking forward to the future with perseverance, determination and open to possibility. The main aim of these murals is to help brighten up the city after the devastating earthquakes and inspire other people in Christchurch to do something positive for the rebuild.

Painted in collaboration with the Kiwi Birdlife Park, Queenstown for the opening of the new reptile wing. This amazing mural was painted by one of our amazing volunteers, Tess Sheerin. The timepiece symbolises the fact that time is running out for many of our endangered species.
