INSTALLING ELEMENTAL

Returning to the Tai Tapu Sculpture Garden for a second time is a joy, and I feel deeply grateful for the journey that has led me here. Elemental has been selected as part of the 13th Annual Autumn Exhibition, running through March 2026, beautifully curated by Melissa Reimer.

This has been a very different kind of art adventure. The artworks incorporate technology, and I have thoroughly enjoyed collaborating with a group of highly skilled individuals: Roberto Carvalho, Michaela Lang, Liam Paterson, Damian Hanrahan, Emmanuel Mururi, and, more recently, Vincent Pancha and James Huson. Together, we have brought Elemental to fruition.

This sculpture series explores the importance of inner peace through connections with the elements.

Here are a few photographs capturing the process and the people involved.

I would also like to extend heartfelt thanks to the wonderful people behind the sculpture garden, founders Annabel Menzies-Joyce and Peter Joyce. You can read more about their native regeneration mission and journey on their website.
